I ordered the lumberman burger for $11.95 added mushrooms for .50 cents and got can order of clam strips for $5.25. The service is kind of slow it took a while for our waitress to take our orders. But when she did my husband I both ordered the lumberjack burger ( a 1 pound patty, almost like the 4x6's my dad used to eat ) my husband got fries and I got onion rings for $1 extra and mushrooms for 50 cents extra, plus I ordered clam strips. When our food arrived it was a huge burger but only a little bit of onion rings, guess for a $1 extra you don't get alot. But that is ok, I enhanced my burger by putting onion rings on it, clam strips, and frie sauce. Now I know it sounds weird but don't knock it until you try it, because my version of a surf 'n' turf burger was actually darn good. The burger was juicy, the onion rings and clam strips were perfect, the pricing not to bad for the size of the burger and you get a lot of thick cut bacon on it cooked to a perfect crispness. I would eat here again, I was looking over at people who got the breakfast and the portions for those are huge!! I would try that next time :-)

If you want a good home cooked meal this is the place for you. The breakfasts are huge and the homemade Dutch honey syrup is to die for. They have a great variety of things on the menu. The service is good for the most part. This place gets kind of busy on the weekends. It is only open until 2pm.

The super-pleasant people that work here are fun to talk to and they're great at what they do: feeding people delicious food with excellent service. The biscuits and gravy here might just be the best in town... I've ordered take-out a few times as well, and everything was just as tasty as if I had dined in. I'll definitely keep going here.

The best breakfast I've found in the area, and beyond. My work brings me to Coos Bay once a year and I look forward to this trip for the great food this place puts out. Happy employees making great food. The place is old, but friendly with large portions of reasonably priced meals. Try the lunch speacials, always a winner. I can hardly wait for breakfast tomorrow.

It's hard to find a place that is consistently good, but this place REALLY is. This is the place to go for breakfast...hands down. We never have had bad service large group or small. The food is always hot, fresh and cooked exactly the way we like it....ALWAYS! Their cook is amazing. That woman can COOK! Cheers Stock Pot. We love you!

I have always had a good meal until March 24, 12. So disappointed in the breakfast. Not sure what has changed but when I visit my hometown again I will not be eating at the Stockpot. I asked if they had changed owners but was told no. Service was not the best either. I usually will give a place a second chance but am not going to try the Stockpot again. My group of three also agree on this review. So it just was not my opinion.

We've lived here for many years but had never tried this place before. We weren't sure what to expect. It was a pleasant surprise to discover a classic American breakfast/lunch diner. The dining area was filled with a lunch crowd and people who had such a great rapport with the staff that you just knew they had been regular customers for years...almost like family. The waitress was very friendly, helpful, and she was great with our kids. I had the New York Steak Sandwich and fries. My wife and oldest daughter opted for eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. My middle kids ordered burgers with curly fries, and my youngest chose the corn dog and curly fries. EVERYONE was happy with what they ate...which is no easy feat in our family. The prices were fair and the portions were plentiful. The only downside was their restrooms. You have to grab a key off of the wall and go outside to the restrooms kind of like a gas station. They we're clean though. Not a deal breaker, and not enough to keep us from coming back again! :)

I ordered a turkey and cheddar sandwich that had awesome turkey on it. It wasn't lunch meat style turkey, it looked and tasted like it was cut from an actual turkey breast. The sandwich was really good.

Craving a breakfast burrito? Pow! Stockpot has you covered! Locals were ordering up the chicken fried steak. The burrito was of epic proportions and tasted Amazeballs! Nothing fancy, just hearty breakfast.

Jesus, people in Oregon are really nice. This place was open at 6am and we waited outside for 15 minutes before the formal opening time. The woman laughed at us in a nice way and told us we could have come in earlier. This NEVER happens to me in California. The cook also came out of the kitchen at one point to ask Lauren if she wanted something in the skillet that was on the menu. Again, the cook would never leave the kitchen in California to make sure something was made the way you want it. In addition, the wait person gave us directions and was genuinely nice and even introduced us to the mill workers next to us who were all to happy to give us directions so early in the morning. The food was basic breakfast food. I had the stockpot special which had eggs, pancakes and sausages. A ton of food for about $6. The sausage was the best thing I ever had. It taste like no other sausage I had ever had. It tasted fresh and natural. They also heated up the syrup and had some other special house syrup that looked like caramel that was amazing. I definitely recommend this place.

Not so hot food. Outdoor access restrooms. Lackadaisical service and a cook that doesn't cook to order easily. Location not good for a left turn to come back toward downtown. Avoid the noid and eat elsewhere.

I wanted a solid breakfast and a solid breakfast I got. The Stockpot is one of those old diner style places I am a sucker for. A big pile of hash brown eggs bacon and coffee and I am a happy camper. The inside was small - a half dozen tables or so as well as diners at the counter. Some people were dining outside. It appeared to be a locals place and the staff and the counter seemed pretty chummy. We were welcome as tourists and shared a table with another couple that came in at the same time (our choice) I would definitely return. I would even sit at the counter if I lived here.

it just gets the better the more often you go. Plus there's always someone there you know. Very cool local vibe. Just be sure you get there well before 2pm closing time. Try out the home fries with breakfast. Better than the hash browns, and some of the best we've ever had anywhere. Wait ... dutch honey syrup? Oh man.

Having now been to the Stockpot a couple times, I have to say that I'm pretty impressed. Like your typical small town diner cliché, it's almost as though these servers have rehearsed their part from those movies and I'm not saying its a bad thing, it just goes to show this place has a very pleasant and friendly service that would make you feel like you're on a movie set (or better yet, right at home). Come often and before you know it, you'll be known on a first name basis which just shows how loyal customers are to this amazing restaurant and now I know why. New isn't always better and in this case, Stockpot fits in with its rustic and small town feeling. I've had myself the corned beef hash and eggs and it was just amazing at first bite. Not too strong with the spices or ingredients and bursting with home cooked goodness and as for portion size... definitely filling! I've yet to try their burger menu but judging from the pictures, I'm sure it'll be just as good. I'd recommend this place for breakfast as you'll be welcomed by friendly service and filling that tummy of yours with some great food!
